Water and Sanitation for Health Facility Improvement (WASH Fit) was handed over to the Mayor of Kushma Municipality, Mr. Ram Chandra Joshi on 22nd March 2024 in a formal event. The jointly funded project by GNI Nepal and Kushma Municipality, Parbat District contributed to improving the health of communities through WASH status improvement at health facilities.  The project aided three health facilities- Kushma Sahari Health Post, Khurkot Health Post and Durlung Health Post of Ward No. 1, 2, and 3 of Kushma Municipality mainly through construction, capacity building, institutional strengthening, and material and equipment support.

Ram Chandra Joshi said, “The project has been initiated to change the narrative and sensitize the community members on importance of maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene.” He also committed to provide the necessary support and assistance for ensuring sustainability of the project.
